The Citadel’s Fine Arts Program

The Citadel’s mission is to produce principled leaders in all walks of life who are capable of both critical and creative thinking about the issues, ideas, and values that are of importance to society. Art is about understanding and creating images, sounds, movement, and words to discover the multitude of ways that humanity fits together on a complex array of aesthetic, social, economic, political, and historical levels.
The Citadel has just snipped the ceremonial blue ribbon to open the new Capers Hall, which houses the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The previous building of the same name was demolished in 2021 to make way for the new one, which was designed by the architectural firm Woolpert.
The Citadel’s fine arts program and the South of Broadway Theater Company produced the play, directed by a Citadel alum turned acting coach.
