Welcome to the Global Scholars Program, a new intiative to make semesters abroad feasible for all cadets at The Citadel. The program offers cadets enrolled in nearly every academic major at The Citadel to spend a semester abroad, taking courses relevant to their majors, while paying nearly the same amount for all study abroad costs as they would pay for a semester of study at The Citadel.

In order to fulfill its objective of making study abroad feasible for all students, the total costs of the Global Scholars Program are the same as a semester of tuition and fees at The Citadel + a $500.00 program fee. Global Scholars may enroll in more than 18 credit-hours or participate in additional excursions or activities not included in the Global Scholars Program for an additional cost.

The Global Scholars tuition and fees cover:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Up to 18 credit-hours of courses
  • Lodging
  • Meal plan
  • Textbooks
  • Excursions

The dates for the Fall 2017 Global Scholars programs will vary by program location. Students can expect their semester programs to begin in mid-early September and to end by mid-late December.
