October’s Vet Center and Around Town Event Listing

Monday, October 2

7 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Vet Center Open

Tuesday, October 3

7 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Vet Center Open

11:30 a.m. – Restful Yoga at Deas Hall Room 215 – thirty minutes of restful poses and relaxation in the mat room, bring your mat and block (if you have them) and a beach towel.

3:30 p.m. – Walk at Hampton Park – enjoy the fall colors in the park right outside the campus gates. Meet at the Vet Center.

6 p.m. – Women’s Volleyball Game at McAlister Fieldhouse

6:30 p.m. – Lecture and Book Signing at Daniel Library – “La Familia Interrumpida The Family Interrupted)” by Dr. Eloy Urroz, an Associate Professor of Spanish at The Citadel (non-Vet Center event)

Wednesday, October 4

7 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Vet Center Open

5 p.m. – Yoga at Hampton Park – weather permitting we’ll meet in the park for a 45 -60 minute yoga class. Meet at the Vet Center at 4:45 p.m. to walk over together or meet at Hampton Park – follow sidewalk to crosswalk, take a right at the path and look to your left in one of the lawn areas.

Thursday, October 5

7 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Vet Center Open

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – D. Charles West, LSW-CP, VITAL Coordinator/Mental Health Social Worker with the VA will be in Robin’s office at the Vet Center. Drop in to see him or make an appointment by contacting him at 843-806-7371 (mobile) or (email).

Friday, October 6

7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Vet Center Open

Saturday, October 7

12 noon to 2 p.m. – tailgate prior to the 2 p.m. football game versus Mercer. It’s Parent’s Day at Johnson Hagood Stadium!

Make plans to attend the SVA meeting on Oct. 11 (at 12 noon and 4:30 p.m.) as we will be taking group photos for the yearbook.
